Training for Leaders and Key Team Members

ActionCOACH Business Coaching will work with you and your team to strengthen leadership by equipping them with powerful skills, a positive mindset, and an understanding of how to use the right tools to their advantage. In training, we will focus on maximizing communication, personal growth, leadership mindset, working together, and staying motivated to achieve your mission. Here’s how our most successful clients work with us in leadership and team development.

Discovery

Our team will spend two hours with key leaders in a discovery session to uncover challenges and identify opportunities. Our goals in discovery will be to better understand:

Your mission, values, and goals

Areas of culture you would like to improve

Which limiting beliefs, mindset, and attitudes need to shift

Benchmarks and how you will measure results

From our Discovery, we will customize the plan for assessments and training content.

Assessments

To assist and equip your leaders and team members in approaching their goals and understanding how to work together best, we will conduct profiling of each individual. The results will be communicated with them, and their leaders. In the half-day workshop and ongoing interactive implementation sessions, we will build on what they learn, and how to use it to their advantage in leadership, communication, and collaboration.

Interactive Implementation Sessions

Knowing that habits are not formed overnight, we will follow the workshop with a series of training sessions. Based on what we learn in our discovery, we will work with you to select a training program that best addresses your team’s challenges and opportunities. With the benchmarks we determine through the discovery process, our goals will be to:

Develop leadership skills and equip them with practical ways to apply learning

Overcome limiting beliefs, shift mindset, and attitudes

Increase positive communication

The Ideal Team Player

Which virtues should you look for in hiring the ideal team player? How can you grow those same virtues within your existing team, and within yourself? This simple framework provides a brilliant way to build team culture throughout your organization, focusing on the three main components to a productive team. Non-traditional interview questions will help you discover the depth of character in potential candidates as well as provide opportunities for personal and professional growth. The difference between a good team and a great one hinges on their ability to work together.

Diversity + Inclusion DISC Training

Improving the quality of ideas comes from including and appreciating diversity. When we surround ourselves with people who come from different backgrounds and have different experiences, we are better. In this training, you will identify and appreciate your uniqueness as individuals, and learn about what motivates and energizes each style of communication.

Each registrant will receive a personal DISC profile and participate in interactive training sessions focused on understanding different communication styles. During these sessions, we will discuss how we are better when we interact with those who share different perspectives from our own. Participants will be trained to spot an opportunity to help a team member feel more at ease, communicate more strategically with their leaders, and interface with clients in a more productive way.

Assessments
Why Assessments?

Data trumps hunches and prevents bias from corrupting important decisions. We work with your leadership team to identify greatest areas of priority and focus, then select and conduct assessments and training to help them utilize the information and accomplish goals such as…

The right person in the right job is priceless. The wrong one is a nightmare waiting to happen. Accurately identify job applicants BEFORE the interview, make scientifically informed judgments and build an organization of A+ employees.

Your business coach will assess and provide feedback on your work on marketing, sales, operations, team building, and financial management assignments between coaching sessions as needed. This service is designed to ensure that your implementation has the greatest chance of success. These feedback sessions may be written or verbal.

Know in advance that your people believe in your organization and care about your customers. Better equip and train your customer support team with the invaluable communication and behavior profiling skills that pay countless dividends.

Identify with scientific accuracy the strengths and shortcomings of each employee. Create observable action plans, from the data, that maximizes your organization’s talent.

Reduce Employee Turnover – Ensure the best possible positional job “fit” for each new hire. Great fit means stronger retention rates, which lowers the costs associated with turnover.

One size fits ONE, not all. Learn how each person learns best and get them back to productivity sooner.

Know who fits with whom in advance. Create your teams based on compatible skills and traits, not just general ideas of balance. Top-level teams are comprised of behaviorally compatible members with an optimal array of complimenting proficiencies.

Core Assessments

Each of our five Core Assessments focuses on a different area of behavior and/or cognition. Used alone or in a variety of combinations, they make up our extensive catalog of assessment reports. You can think of the five Core Assessments as the foundation upon which all assessment reports are formulated.

Our most popular assessment and the world’s #1 behavioral profiling tool. DISC provides a highly detailed analysis of each individual’s Natural (i.e. personal/ internal) and Adaptive (i.e. workplace/ external) behavioral styles. A person’s behavior is often the strongest predictor of fit; whether that be within a particular job, as the member of a team or as the leader of an organization. In essence, DISC predicts “How?” a person will behave in a given role or situation. Likewise, it offers the prescriptive lessons necessary to maximize the outcome of any interpersonal or workplace communication.

The perfect companion assessment to pair with DISC, Motivators measures the seven universal dimensions of motivation that drive each of us: Aesthetic, Economic, Individualistic, Political, Altruistic, Regulatory and Theoretical. Whereas DISC predicts “how” a person will behave, Motivators answers “why” If you’re only using DISC, you’re only scratching the surface of what assessments can offer individuals and organizations.

The Hartman Value Profile assessment offers the critical third piece to the human puzzle. Based upon Robert S. Hartman formal axiology, this unique assessment measures each individual’s problem-solving skills and ability to avoid the blind spots associated with situational bias. In essence, this assessment measures, with uncanny accuracy, an individual’s critical thinking, judgment and decision making.

The Emotional Intelligence (EIQ) assessment helps users understand the correlation between the way they apply their current EIQ and the outcome of their interactions with others. This lends itself to improved decision making, leadership, reading the emotions in others and engaging in a greater number of mutually beneficial workplace outcomes. Here’s the key: EIQ can actually be improved and coached-up over time so it makes an excellent self-improvement assessment.

Our fifth and final core assessment, Learning Styles, does just as its name implies: it identifies each individual’s best means for learning and retaining new information. Some people like to process information through text, while others need visual support and images. Some learners best assimilate information alone, while others prefer to work in groups. There are those who can grasp information intuitively, while others prefer to follow a strong sequential path. In short, understanding learning styles offers the key to maximizing an organization’s training efficiencies, enlightening its management teams and even assembling top performing teams.

Assessment Combination Options

Social Styles

This popular 4-quadrant, 360º behavioral assessment is the perfect instrument for managers, directors, and executives to objectively “see themselves” the way others do. Imagine having the insights to make informed behavioral adjustments, that optimize leadership outcomes and neutralize interpersonal conflict. Our Social Styles assessment also includes analysis for the invaluable “Adaptability” trait.

Sales IQ Plus

Our sales skills test was jointly developed by best-selling authors Jeffrey Gitomer, Jim Cathcart, and Dr. Tony Alessandra. No two tests are the same, with 48 questions selected at random from an ever-growing pool of 100+ questions. The 48 questions guide each user in assessing eight primary categories of sales competency. The report even contains embedded video links of co-author Jim Cathcart discussing each of these eight primary sales competencies in detail. Additionally, Sales IQ Plus provides each user with feedback by providing a coachable explanation for each question & answer.

Executive Summary

Each Executive Summary provides users with an easy-to-read report summary, distilled from a comprehensive 54-page analysis on the candidate. Integrating the DISC, Motivators and Hartman assessments, the Executive Summary will provide decision makers the necessary instrument to see through a candidate’s “interview mask”. Each of the four reports (Leadership, Sales, Service, General) measures and scores the universal core functions, job-related competencies, and attitudes of each candidate– plus the expected results and procedures that drive strong performance.

360° - How Do Others See You?

What if you could have an enhanced 360° view of the world? In other words, imagine having the ability to process the collective perceptions of how others see you. Often times, the way we perceive ourselves and the way others perceive us are two very different things. Managers and business leaders often persist in communication and organizational practices believing everyone recognizes their “obvious” intentions, overlooking costly misinterpretations that stem from different behavioral styles. Those challenges have often been unfortunate workplace inefficiencies that were difficult to resolve— until now! Our “Social Styles” and “Platinum Rule” assessments offer what we term 360° Reports, which pull “perception data” from numerous user’s colleagues and employees providing that user an informed “self-audit” to eliminate workplace miscommunication and improve client relationships.
